In either case (standardized or tabular format) the import utility works the same.
Usually at this point you can go directly to "Select files and import" but it may be desirable to select the weather stations to import and/or specify the output database file (if needed).
You can enter the ID of one station to be selected. When a single station is selected, the name of the UED database will usually also be displayed.
You can leave the station ID blank. In this case, the import utility may generate a UED database file for each station encountered in the import file.
Some formats use a single file for all years and all available stations. In this case, you usually select the one file.
Some formats use separate files for each year and/or each station. In this case, select all the files to be imported for either the one station need or all the desired stations.
When you press the [Open] button selecting the files highlighted in the file requestor, the importation will start immediately.
Most import format utilities are console mode programs and will display a simple black console mode window will minimal runtime progress display.
If an error is encountered, an error message will be displayed and you will be prompted to continue.
If the importation is successful, the import format utility simply closes with no further response.
If multiple input files were selected, the import utility may be started for each file.
You should also edit the UED file to verify the imported data. Simply click on the listed UED file icon to open the UED file with the UED weather editor
