File Formats

Climgen uses the following file types:

Location parameter file: This file stores parameters entered in the ClimGen wizard.
This file may also be created by UED import utilities or the CropSyst parameter editor.
This is a text file format.
Universal environmental database format: The Universal Environmental Database format is used to store both historial daily weather data used for parameterization and the generated data created by ClimGen.
Daily weather text files (old format): Daily weather data can be stored in as text files. This format is being replaced by the UED format.
ClimGen provides import and export utilities to transfer data between UED and text format.
